In short: The leading fiberglass pool design trends are clean geometric lines, tanning ledges, spillway spas, shallow wading zones and colors built to last. Aqua Technics Pools, with 300+ Awards of Excellence, have fiberglass pool designs in small, medium and large sizes, so each trend can suit any backyard
1. Clean geometric and rectangular lines
Modern pools favor crisp, clean lines. Rectangular and geometric fiberglass pools suit contemporary architecture, make efficient use of the yard and leave room for outdoor living. Geometric styles never date and it works for swimming, games and entertaining alike.
2. Soft landscaping around a modern pool
Homeowners who want a natural, relaxed feel are creating it around the pool, not in its shape. Planting, natural stone and timber soften a geometric pool, so it sits in the garden while keeping its clean lines.
3. Tanning ledges and lounging zones
A tanning ledge is a shallow area of water for lounging, sunbathing and supervised play. The Aqua Technics Pools Hayman Lounger range has a 1’ deep tanning ledge built into the design, making it the ideal pool for both swimming and relaxation.
4. Spillway spas
A spillway spa sits raised beside your pool and spills water into it, so you get a spa and a pool in one design. The Nova Spillway Spa (7'2" x 8'6") has continuous bench seating for up to seven adults and six spa jets. It pairs with your pool and isn't sold separately.
5. Shallow wading zones
Shallow water makes a pool easy to enjoy for every age. The Hayman Lounger range from Aqua Technics Pools has a built in shallow wading zone perfect for relaxation or a play zone for small children.
6. Pools for every size of yard
The best pool is the one that suits your space and the way you live.
- Small pools: compact designs for courtyards and townhouses, perfect for cooling off.
- Medium pools: a versatile middle ground for swimming, play and relaxing.
- Large pools: room for laps, games and the whole family to entertain.
7. Colors and finishes built to last
Pool color sets the mood of the whole backyard. Aqua Technics’ Pool ColorGuard® is a patented dual-layer surface protection system that acts like sunscreen for your pool, keeping its color for longer. Aqua Technics pools are also built with patented Graphene Nano-Tech®, giving increased strength and rigidity in the pool's structure and the strongest fiberglass pool available.
Complete the outdoor living space
Pair your pool with an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit or a covered lounge to create a place to gather all year. Planning these together from the start gives you one cohesive backyard.
